The British Travel Trade Fair is organised by VisitBritain and Reed Travel Exhibitions at the Birmingham NEC from 11-12 March.  On 12th March 2008 Roy Graff, Managing Director of ChinaContact will give a 45 minute workshop on the Chinese outbound tourism market. The talk will take place from 12:00 at the main stage and is free to join.

Roy, who has been educating and training travel providers on the Chinese outbound market since 2005, spent three years in China developing outbound tourism for Gullivers Travel Associates. Since returning to UK he worked with VisitBritain, Visit London, English Heritage, UKinbound, Tourism Ireland as well as hotels and tour operators.

ChinaContact is also organiser of the WTM-ChinaContact forum on China’s tourism industry which has been held at World Travel Market for the past two years.

The workshop at BTTF will provide a general background on the Chinese tourism market and address the unique characteristics of this market. Roy will discuss:

- How big is China’s tourism market? Is it a serious potential for UK inbound tourism?
- What opportunities does the Olympics in Beijing in 2008 represent to UK destination marketing?
- How to best market UK destinations in China?
- What is best practice in providing hospitality and service to Chinese visitors?
